Another problem with trying to modify our behavior is that we often have a hard time obtaining consistent results. Even if we do successfully change the way we act for a few days or a few months, there is always the possibility that we will return to our old behavior patterns. This is because our unconscious minds are conditioned to act in ways that we don’t want to act consciously.
